Exchange Uporium Grand Opening

A few days ago I headed to the Exchange District's first Pop Up Shop Hop. The Exchange Uporium features a heap of WESTies and other rad local makers/curators. As I shot the soft opening on Tuesday, I quickly picked up on the distinct, genius flow of the shop.

While every vendor had their designated place, everything just...WENT. A mix of eccentric displays, IKEA-esque shelving, vintage furniture pieces and, pretty-well, half'a tree stump made up the main room perfectly. SCORE.

And yes, there's a vintage room. Not cluttered in the least bit, which rules. A unique change room, massive mirrors, and a big ole shoe rack (read: there is LOTS of swell footwear!)..

A seriously wicked shop I'm happy to be a part of. The Uporium is open 7 days a week with pretty minty hours, to boot. Be sure to check out their Facebook page for more info.

Oh, and everyone's favourite embroidery can be found in the powder room.

WEST Sale V Wrap-Up!

The Winnipeg Etsy Street Team's 5th Handmade and Vintage Sale took place this past weekend. Seeing new and old faces was rad, and the sales didn't hurt either. I introduced many new pieces to my table, and got some wicked feedback from people. So, a buncha new staples will be added to the shop this weekend!

A photo I snapped of the vendors at Sale V. Sale VI is totally happening too, which I'm really looking forward to. Good!
