For some bit now, I've been lucky enough to have my embroidery carried at tara davis studio boutique in Winnipeg's historic Exchange District.
little sizable boutique carries over ONE HUNDRED Canadian makers with top notch work and the lovely personalities to go with it. Next to Hoopers, under Nettie + Min/The Vintage Saint, and right close by to Tiny Feast, Tara's boutique's part of a quaint little strip you can't miss when you're in this end of the woods.
SO many of my closest friends have been a part of Tara's shop for years and are happy as a clam. As I've been a helping hand during a number of First Friday's, I see both new and fresh faces stopping in leaving with a little something rad, and heaps of inspiration. Folks have actually come in to meet me and request custom items, how unreal is that!? As a result of being apart of Tara's boutique, I feel as though I've reached a new level of success on many levels, and I just can't thank her enough for this.
Thinking of getting a neat gift for someone real cool? Go the whole nine and get your score in a gift box with a bow, for a $1 donation to Art Beat Studio, a space that holds a special spot in Tara's ticker.
Lastly, how pumped were we to learn we BOTH got a mention in VOGUE? The magazine? YEAH! Check that out over here, will you?
I've met countless local creatives since spending time at Tara's, folks that I badly hope to have a crafternoon or two with, and event organizers that I just adore. Winnipeg's handmade scene is thriving, and I couldn't be a happier camper.
Come say hey!
